FAQS
Panache Style — FAQS
What weight is your silk, and why?
Silk is measured in mm— the higher the number, the heavier the fabric. Most scarves on the market sit at either 14mm, which can feel a little flimsy, or 18mm, which is gorgeous but stiffer to tie and style. We land at 16mm on purpose. It's soft enough to knot easily, substantial enough to hold its shape, and works for the widest range of hair types. It's the thickness we found most people actually want to wear.
How are your scarves finished?
Hand-rolled, edge to edge. It's slower and more skilled than machine finishing, but it shows — the hem sits soft and rounded, the stitching all but disappears into the silk, and the fabric drapes properly right to the edge. Machine-rolled hems are flatter and stiffer, with a visible stitch line running along the edge. Fine for some things. Not for how we want our scarves to move.
Can I return my order?
Yes. If something doesn't suit, request a return within 14 days by emailing sales@panachestyle.com.au, and send the item back to us within 28 days.
When will my order ship?
We aim to get your order out within one business day of it being placed. From there, standard shipping within Australia generally takes around 7 days, or 3 days with express, depending on your location.
Can your padded headbands be made in different thicknesses?
Yes. Our standard range is one and a half, two and a half, three, and four inches. Thinner padding works best for finer hair or if you prefer a lighter feel — thicker padding gives you more hold and works really well for thicker or longer hair. If none of our standard options suit, we can also do custom thicknesses, so just reach out to sales@panachestyle.com.au and we'll work something out.
